People who brush their teeth with commercialized toothpaste have usually been taught to use it from an early age, and are probably too skeptical now to try just using Baking Soda. I’ve heard that you could mix part Baking Soda, part Vegetable Glycerin + water + drops of peppermint oil = awesome natural toothpaste!
